The ladies of hit TV shows were dressed to impress last night at the 61^st Emmy awards. There were all sorts of dress styles from low cuts, to one shouldered. Then there was the stunning costume jewellery (or diamond jewellery in their case!) that was understated in that there was either one crystal bracelets and a pair of chandelier earrings or a statement necklace and cocktail ring for example.

Many ladies decided to have their hair up and out of their face to look. Mila Kunis had her hair tied back, and wore a stunning burgundy gown, with crystal chandelier earrings and a crystal bracelet. Then there was the mum-to-be Heidi Klum wore a beautiful black figure hugging Marchesa gown, with beautiful black chandelier earrings. Then there was Olivia Wilde’s skin showing dress. She kept her costume jewellery simple with crystal earrings and a crystal bracelet.

The television equivalent of the Academy Awards is happening today and we are so excited! We can’t wait to see all those glamorous television stars on the red carpet wearing their stunning gowns and costume jewellery and fashion jewellery. Ok, so their crystal jewellery will be real diamonds, but we do see the odd costume jewellery piece on a celebrity or two.

We can’t wait to see what Eva Longoria Parker will wear this year, or even Sandra Oh from Greys Anatomy. But we do think the trend of large statement necklaces that’s look like collar necklaces, which we have seen on next season’s catwalks, will be a real trend. Also, following on from the VMA’s we think we will see chandelier earrings, or just crystal earrings paired up with a cuff bracelet or a cocktail ring.

Whats the best way to keep your costume jewellery safe? How can you keep it from not getting damaged, scratched or broken?

It will seem obviously, but sometimes you have to be told the basics! We would recommend you store costume jewellery in what is was sent to you in. In our case that would be the strong shefaly gift box. If you are not given anything to store it in, the use a jewellery box of some type. Its also wise to wrap in tissue paper to avoid jewellery clashing, as this can cause scratching and damage.

However, also make sure that its kept in a safe enough place that the box does not fall! if that happens there is sure to be some damage!
